Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation

Iceland_logoIceland Foods Charitable Foundation chose us as one of three charities to help in 2015 and together, we helped vulnerable young people across the UK live healthier, more independent lives.

Iceland staff carried out fundraising throughout the year to support our work with children in foster care and residential homes, teaching the importance of nutritious food and providing hands-on cookery skills through our Let’s Get Cooking programme.

Not all children in care have had the chance to learn to cook, and they may not have grown up enjoying meals with those around them. That’s why we want to give foster carers and teams at residential children’s homes the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to cook healthy meals with children and young adults, helping them to build bonds and have fun with food together, and prepare children for living independently in the future.
