We use Fretwell-Downing Hospitality‘s catering management software Saffron to help us advise parents, childcare providers, schools, cooking clubs and many others on the energy and nutrient value of recipes and products for children, helping them to make healthier choices and eat a better diet.
Saffron has helped us to:
- provide clear traffic-light labelling on saturated fat, sugar and salt content in hundreds of our Let’s Get Cooking recipes for children and families
- provide schools with innovative recipe ideas for boosting fruit, vegetable and iron content in school meals, along with healthy after-school club and mid-morning snack ideas
- launch nationally-recommended, healthy menus for childcare providers – as part of our Eat Better, Start Better programme.
