Big Lottery Young Start Project

Let's Get Cooking in Scotland           Print

The Children’s Food Trust is the national charity on a mission to get every child eating well, at home, in childcare, at school and beyond.  We set up Let’s Get Cooking to inspire children to learn to cook and enjoy good food, equipping them with the skills and confidence to get hands-on in the kitchen and make healthier food choices throughout their lives. We believe every child has a right to nutritious food.

With financial support from the Big Lottery Fund Scotland, we’re delivering the Young Start project to empower young people to be able to cook and eat healthily, and provide them with the skills to improve their overall health now and for the rest of their lives. Through a mentoring approach, this project will create a change in cooking habits in young people, their friends, families and wider community.
